Lypoma in bone
I am 26 years old and in good health, I rolled my ankle and had an x-ray last week. They x-ray showed that I have a growth inside the bone of my heel (fully encased in my bone). I was told that it could be a lypoma inside my bone. So far, I can find no information about bone lypoma's. I am worried that without a biopsy that it is misdiagnosed. Any info?????

If you do a search on Google for Ossifying Lipoma you'll find some related information.
If you're worried about it you could have it x-rayed yearly to make sure it's not growing or changing. I think a biopsy would be expensive & maybe painful.

Dear Lypomu in bone
I have lypomus in my ribs, I had 2 rather large ones the size of an egg removed a year ago. I have more on my ribs. They feel like there connected to my ribs, but never had an x-ray. Well, I also have heel pain (for over twenty years and never had an x-ray done.) Well, anyways I hope that you find the information that you need. I hope the doctors will be able to make things better. Thank you for the information and please update everyone.
