Hi Guys,
I believe we all must have something in common causing this. I recently went to the docs for a checkup. The only issue I had was a big deficiency in Vitamin D. I had 20 nmol/L when it should be between 51 - 200 nmol/L.
It's a long shot but is anyone else deficient in vitamin D. If a number of people have the correct Vitamin D level's and still get lipoma's then we can cross this off.

Hi Everyone,
I am new to this group.
Greetings to all my lumpy brothers and sisters out there.
I have been living with 15 lipomas for 7 years. I am 32.
They are all pretty large and annoying and I am getting to the point where I have recently been thinking about having them surgically removed.
Anyway, today I had the brainwave of conducting a public study on the similarities between the people that suffer from them.
I have been told that 1 in 1000 people suffer with this.

Hi All,
I came across this forum seeking a place to learn and talk about my MFL. I've read many posts with interesting thoughts and results. It's important to know that we may all suffer from the same condition but symptoms and treatments work differently with different people. Here is my observation and some facts:
I'm of Eastern European decent (French) and live in the United States.
I'm currently 38 years old.
First "found" lipoma:around 26 years old.
From 26-30 another 10-12 lipoma appeared.

Too many to count now
First ones found about 30yrs old
Do they ever stop forming or do they carry on forming till the day I die

Today I went to the dermatologist and he said I might have a limpoma. It's a big swollen mass on my temple! :( I noticed it a few weeks ago. It was popping out at first and got better. Now it gets bigger and smaller. Right now it seems to be getting bigger. I had a sabacious cyst on my write 25 years ago. I don't know if they are related.
I am going to an E and T doctor soon to have him looked at it. I want a plastic surgeon to remove it. I sure hope I wont' be scarred. I already have too many flaws that bother me. Can anyone give me support?

I started getting lipomas after my second baby. Ten days after a c-section I had my gal bladder removed due to stones. I was wondering if anyone else started getting lipomas after their gal bladder was removed. I also have high levels of HDL (which is good) but wondering if it could be taking the fat and forming lipomas instead of taking it out of my body. Anyone have any ideas?

I've had FML for about 10 years now and since then I've put on about 3 stone.
I'm weighing in about 16 stone about 3 stone more than I should weigh.
I've tried lots of things to shift if with no success.
Anyone had any success and if so what methods were used

My Dr. determined that what I have is a Lipoma tumor based on her feeling it. Is this sufficent enough to say thats what these are? I have had a CAT scan, an ultrasound and plenty of xrays done. Should I get copies of all my tests and take them to another Dr. for a second opinion?

if so, i'm wondering if drinking water and doing cleanses would have any effect?
Why i'm asking ist that i had lots of phlegm in high school during workouts, sports, etc, .
I saw a Chinease so called cure on the internet and it linked phlegm to lipomas.
Just asking.

Hello everyone,
My name is Cynthia, I am one of the old moderators from the the old Lipomaforum.
Since the death of the owner of the old forum, I have often wondered whether it is somehow possible to recuperate all of the old information, research and patient files which were stored on the old site. I am supposing that whoever hosted the site must still be holding all of that info in cyber space?
